Climate change and environmental destruction have a huge impact on the health of children and young people, and environmental protection is directly related to their future. At the same time, they have little and insufficient power to limit the negative consequences of climate change, which makes them particularly vulnerable to climate anxiety, as one of the new psycho-social phenomena of today.
Research on the attitudes of children and young people on environmental protection: “My right to the future”, besides examining the attitudes of children and young people on environmental protection, is the first major research on climate anxiety among children and young people in Serbia. Also, the research implies the attitudes of young people about the relationship between decision-makers/institutions on the topic of environmental protection and climate change in our country.
Friends of the Children of Serbia carried out research within the project “DIALOGUE from ECO anxiety to ECO action” with the support of the Tempus Foundation and within the Erasmus+ program.
